VCE English Teacher

Fulltime, ongoing position commencing January 2021

Southern Cross Grammar is a modern Foundation to Year 12 School with a commitment to personalised learning for students. We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher of VCE English to join our dynamic English Teaching Team in the delivery of high-performing learning programs.

The successful candidate will:

  • have at least two years experience teaching Units 3 and 4 English,
  • demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the English Study Design and VCAA processes including moderation,          
  • have the ability to teach English from Years 7 – 12,
  • be a positive, collaborative and flexible professional who enjoys working in a team environment,
  • demonstrate planning informed by using and analysing formative and summative assessments,
  • have excellent organisational skills to adhere to time-frames and provide detailed feedback in a timely manner, and,
  • have expertise in curriculum design, implementation and how to differentiate for a range of students.

Additional experience in English Literature and/or English Language is desirable but not essential.
