Trainee MCU / MMU Operator

Chandler Macleod are working with Orica, a global leader in the mining and resources sector, who are currently looking for MMU / MCU Trainee Operator positions. This position is Residential based in Olympic Dam. You would be fully trained and required to work in either an open cut or underground operation in a safe and efficient manner in order to provide and deliver a quality product for the purpose of blasting at the site. This role requires a high level of fitness.

Essential Requirements:
  • A manual Heavy Rigid Vehicle License
  • Must be able to obtain a Dangerous goods license and security card
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to commit to FIFO / shift work
  • Proven experience within a mechanical environment or a similar industry preferred
  • The ability to work autonomously and be part of a high performing team

Your Role and Training
  • Operating MMU/ MCU
  • Delivery of explosive products to predrilled blast holes
  • Assisting with preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing and organising the timely repair of operated equipment.
  • Site Administration duties
  • WAH -Trained to work at Heights
  • Forklift Licence
  • EWP – Elevated work platform
