About the role

We are currently seeking a well-rounded, values-driven and highly engaged IT professional to join our Shared Services team on a full-time, maximum term basis, for 12 months.

As our Manager, IT Services, you will be responsible for:

  • leading and developing a small team to provide the full suite of IT services, from network and infrastructure operations, to desktop support, applications maintenance, and security management;
  • partnering with the organisation and Executive Leaders to provide technical advice, support change management and implement new initiatives;
  • collaborating and supporting, on a technical level, the development of the IT strategic plan, including infrastructure, enterprise architecture and digital transformation;
  • managing the IT infrastructure and network environments with a strong focus on security and confidentiality; and
  • leading and overseeing the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives within the IT Services function and across the organisation. 

About you

We are looking for a self-motivated, IT professional with a passion for STEM, who is ready for the next challenge in their IT career. This is the perfect opportunity for a new manager who is looking to further develop and enhance their leadership skills. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT operations or systems administration background;
  • a passion for team development and collaboration across an organisation;
  • strong analytical and solutions focused abilities to identify and enhance areas for improvement;
  • knowledge of network/ systems architecture and IT security principles;
  • a strong understanding of IaaS/ PaaS products, including Microsoft Azure;
  • a dedication to quality of work, the ability to prioritise and self-manage; and
  • tertiary qualifications in IT, computing or relevant background.
