About the Role

 

Carinya Care are searching for an experienced People and Workforce Co Ordinator to support the Management Team through the next period of staff development and growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting to Management guidelines
  • Onboarding of new employees
  • Supporting Managers with Performance Management of Employees
  • Assist in interviewing process
  • Assist in developing training practices
  • Record keeping of personnel files
  • Maintenance and analysis of existing training
  • Assist in Government reporting
  • Support management with variety of meeting requirements
  • Work with managers to resolve performance management and misconduct issues
  • Maintenance of job descriptions and Duty Statements
  • Other duties as required

 

 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Substantial experience (2 years min) in human resource management or organisational performance or human resource management at a senior level.
  • Experience developing teams and embedding a positive culture of achievement in a value’s based organisation.
  • A proactive and solutions focused mindset and a customer service orientation
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and the national employment standards.
  • Knowledge of the Fairwork Act and experience interpreting industrial agreements
  • The ability to manage time, set personal and team goals and delegate tasks
  • Strong communication and mediation skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with interview techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in building diversity in a team
  • Assist with training relevant staff to monitor performance and to identify performance gaps essential to mandatory requirements
  • Identify training needs of staff and propose a training plan to the organisation
  • A flexible and adaptable style, with the ability to change your approach in a fast paced and diverse environment

 

Desired

  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety principles, legislation and practices.
  • Aged Care Experience would be valued
