MANAGER INFORMATION SERVICES

The Position:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced candidate to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Manager Information Services. This position will report to the Director Corporate Services and supervise 6 staff.

The Manager Information Services will be responsible for the management and leadership of the Information Services team. This includes accountablity for the efficient and effective delivery of Information and Communication Technology, Geospatial Information Systems, Records Management and Freedom of Information services to the organisation consistent with the Shire’s Stategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan.

The Person We Seek:

You will have experience as a technology leader and change agent in a comparable Information Services management role.

Due to the nature of what we do we are seeking an applicant with extensive knowledge of Microsoft based enterprise ICT operations, including networking, telecommunications, support techniques, storage and virtualisation systems.

If you also hold formal Records Management qualifications or significant practical Records Management experience, relevant ICT industry certifications or post degree qualifications, a clear understanding of the objectives of Freedom of Information legislation and demonstrated experience assessing FOI applications then a sea change to tropical Broome could be for you!

Obviously, the technical aspects of the role are important, however of most interest to us will be your demonstrated leadership skills, and your ability to lead technology change projects across the organisation.
