Athlete Services Assistant - IRONMAN Oceania

The IRONMAN series of events is one of the largest individual participation sports platforms in the world. Our specialty within the Oceania region is high-profile mass participation triathlon, cycling & running events, including events such as IRONMAN Cairns and Noosa Triathlon.

We are on a mission to find a customer service superstar to join our Athlete Services team. The team’s responsibility is to manage the planning and delivery of the athlete experience before, during, and after the event.

The role is based at our Noosaville office, and from time to time, travel will be required for event delivery in various destinations. Weekend working will be required on occasions through the year.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Respond to athlete queries via email, phone and face-to-face, ensuring they are fully informed about the event 
  • Athlete entry database administration and reporting
  • General office support 
  • Supporting the delivery of athlete services at our events.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent customer service and administration skills
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of competency in Excel, ideally with experience in database management
  • Experience in the sports industry, whether working or competing, is advantageous.

Additionally, it’s critical that the successful candidate is an excellent team player. They must be great at multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and working under pressure. Those who thrive best in our company are energetic, pro-active, collaborative and personable!
