Aquaculture Attendant- Indented Head, Vic

As an Aquaculture Attendant, you will be responsible for all aspects of shellfish processing, including:

  • Cleaning, feeding & management of stock (husbandry)
  • Removal & sizing of stock from tanks (harvest)
  • Data collection & analysis (farm data)
  • Transfer of stock between tanks (stock movement)
  • Handling, weighing, shucking & packing of stock (IQF, Live, Can processing)
  • Transportation of product to customers (deliveries)
  • All aspects of farm maintenance (maintenance)

Proactive and flexible you will be required to work Monday to Friday, approximately 38 hours/week, with the occasional weekend in peak demand seasons. Starting times can vary from 8:30 am onwards dependent on your department.

Your Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded with knowledge of the aquaculture industry. You will need to be physically fit - able to lift up to 10kg regularly, work from a crouching position and be on your feet for most of your shift.

Reliable and focused on ensuring a culture of safety for yourself and team members at all times, you will have a ‘can do’ attitude and a commitment to completing your tasks.
