PROJECT ENGINEER – SUGAR MILL
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work as part of the Project Team. The Project Team provides input and assistance to the Engineering Team by assisting with capital justification and proposals, designing and drafting of modifications to plant and equipment.
The role focuses on planning and preparing capital expenses, design and assessment of drawings and construction management all leading towards the successful implementation and commissioning of plant upgrades.
TULLY SUGAR LIMITED is a subsidiary of COFCO Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and one of the largest food and agribusinesses in China. It owns and operates a large, efficient sugar mill, producing quality raw sugar and renewable energy in Tully, North Queensland. The Company and its operations are highly regarded in the Australian Sugar Industry. Depending on seasonal conditions, Tully Mill crushes in excess of 2.4 million plus tonnes of cane per year, producing approximately 300,000 tonnes of sugar.
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or trade qualifications and Associate Diploma of Mechanical Engineering. Graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills required: Interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, problem solving, computer literate especially with regard to Microsoft software. Computer Aided Drafting (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor). Proficient knowledge of Australian safety and environmental standards.
Tully is located approximately halfway between Townsville and Cairns surrounded by World Heritage rainforest and the Cassowary Coast and Islands adjacent to the popular Mission Beach area. The 6000 strong communities of Tully and Mission Beach have well established educational, health, sporting and shopping facilities.
