Job specific tasks and responsibilities

  • Complete tasks as directed by the classroom teacher which may include photocopying, preparation, compilation of materials, typing, computer skills, etc.
  • Assist with individual students or small groups of students as required by the class teacher.
  • Art Department Aide experience would be advantageous. 
  • Fulfil timetabled accountabilities.
  • The Support Officer must be able to carry out these duties with limited supervision.
  • The Support Officer must uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
  • The Support Officer must display the affective attributes of warmth, co-operation, teamwork, and other appropriate people skills.


Skills and experience

Candidate Profile:

  • Certificate III in Educational Support, at a minimum
  • Previous experience as a Teacher Aide
  • Demonstrated high level organisational, networking, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated use of initiative, with the ability to anticipate the needs of a School organisation
  • A sense of humour
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills, who has the ability to engage and inspire
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
