Solution Design / Change / Project Management

Within HCLs' renowned Global Delivery model we seek a leading Solution Designer to be responsible for the delivery of artefacts required by various business initiatives and to participate in the delivery of the produced solutions. This prominent role requires leaders that provide sound advice and recommendations to address customer needs and strategic business issues to support the implementation of designs. 

 Core Functions:  

  • Project Management (e.g. managing and/or implementing key projects, applying process excellence methodology, managing cross-business project teams, influencing and negotiating with others) 
  • Organisational change (e.g. leading, managing or contributing to a strategic refocus, a restructure, an acquisition/merger or change management)  
  • Reference and translate business context and conceptual architecture into solution design outcomes (e.g. leveraging reference  architecture artefacts to assist with design decisions) 
  • Work with vendors and partner groups to assemble cohesive solution designs 
  • Produce and maintain high-quality solution design artefacts as: 
    • High-Level Solution Designs/Architecture (HLSA) 
    • Solution HeatMap 
    • Solution On A Page (SOAP) 
    • Micro/Macro Cost Estimates 
    • Risk/Assumptions/Issues/Dependencies (RAID) 
    • Opportunity Canvas 
    • POCs and Pilots 
  • Ensure designed solutions not only delivered on Business outcomes but also uphold leading Engineering standards and practices enabling to deliver highly available, reliable, durable and resilient solutions considering the end-to-end aspects of the solution have been identified and included  (App, Systems, Data, Cyber, integration, process) 
  • Apply the Group’s Architecture principles and guardrails to ensure the produced artefacts are aligned to the Group's reference architecture, following the domain and technology roadmaps and industry leading practices 
  • Identify leading opportunities to improve the health of the supported assets by aligning the Solution to Domain and Technology roadmaps 


Requisite:

  • Significant Solution Design experience, or experience in guiding solution design from an end to end perspective 
  • Strong business and technology acumen within the context of digital channels 
  • Leadership in developing business aligned technology Solutions 
  • High level of communications skills, including the demonstrated ability to solicit opinions, accept feedback
