We are seeking a switched on, energetic Legal Secretary who is ready to take the next step in their legal career.  You will have gained around 2 years’ experience in a private practice law firm environment.

The role involves working within a small team of Legal Secretaries, providing Secretarial and administrative support to professional staff.

Duties include:

  • Creating, editing and formatting a range of documents
  • Assisting to answer telephone calls if Reception is busy
  • Booking travel and accommodation
  • Opening, closing and archiving files
  • Dictation and hard copy typing
  • Online searches
  • Making beverages for meetings
  • General admin – filing, photocopying, faxing etc.

We welcome applications from candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Between 2 and 4 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary (more senior candidates will unfortunately not be considered)
  • A fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60wpm with 95% accuracy+)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word (knowledge of track changes would be highly beneficial)
  • A flexible, can do approach to tasks
  • Mature, professional manner

Please note this is offered on a full time, permanent basis.  Standard office hours are 08.30 – 5.00, Monday to Friday.  One day per week you will be required to work until 6pm (rostered for all staff).
