About the Company

The Supaloc Steel Building System is a series of unique lightweight steel building components used in the construction of steel framed homes & commercial buildings. Supaloc has over 20 years’ experience in manufacturing products for the Australian construction industry.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Drafting Team Leader you will be responsible for producing accurate framing plans and electronic files for fabrication and erection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhering to engineering principles, produce roof and wall framing layouts using CAD systems
  • Recognise faults in construction with client supplied information and provide alternatives to construction problems
  • Maintain a high standard of quality throughout the department
  • Provide high level support to your drafting colleagues and mentor colleagues as required
  • Adhere to provided file information and ensure presentation is in the correct format
  • Acting in accordance with information provided and following company procedures, make amendments to drawings, ensuring you notify those affected in a professional manner
  • Record relevant discussions with clients and suppliers

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Understanding of CAD and conception of 3D environment
  • Knowledge of basic building concepts and terminology
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office, with good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to resolve problematic situations
  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture or Building Design
