The role

Working within our Community Spaces, Recreation and Trades team, this position is responsible for undertaking saleyards, parks and reserves maintenance and cleaning tasks as a part of Council’s operations.

This will involve efficient stock handling, maintenance and upkeep of the saleyards structures, buildings and facilities for handling and housing of livestock and ensuring obtaining prompt veterinary attention for stock when required.

The person

In order to be successful in this position you will require:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of saleyard, parks and reserves maintenance techniques
  • Current licence or competency to drive construction plant and/or trucks desirable
  • Ability to handle interactions with the public in a courteous manner

The package: Commencing salary from $48,000 per annum plus super.

Location: This position will be based in Gloucester Saleyards Cemetery Rd, Gloucester. However, you may be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent Full Time.
