Logistics Trainee

Burra Foods is a highly successful and growing Australian dairy processor that, for over two decades, has been producing and marketing premium dairy products to the global food manufacturing market.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Logistics Trainee who is keen to learn and develop essential skills as part of our Supply Chain team.

We believe this opportunity will be an excellent chance for you to:

  • Obtain a Certificate III in Business Administration over a 12-month period.
  • Learn more about the career pathways suited to your interests
  • Gain exposure to a variety of fields and professions within the department

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for

  • Varying tasks and learning opportunities relevant to the ongoing training you will receive under the key areas of Admin, Operations and Execution.

Admin

  • Administrative arrangement and data reconciliation from stock and inventory movements
  • Processing vendor returns and invoices

Operations

  • General warehousing tasks such as unloading deliveries, order picking, monitoring stockturns and monthly pallet counts

Execution

  • Checking domestic and export documentation returned from warehouses
  • Goods receipting of sales orders as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong attention to detail
  • Excellent multi-tasker and ability to manage time well
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and focused on delivering solutions
  • Proficient computer literacy and confident with Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication and relationship building skills
  • Aptitude to drive and manage pace of learning
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team
