Band 7 $89,666 to $99,292 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation
City of Ballarat is seeking a suitably qualified engagement specialist to support community engagement activity across Council projects. The position will play an important role designing and assisting develop community engagement processes, as well leading a small team of Community Development Officers. The position of Coordinator Community Participation sits within the Engaged Communities Unit, which is part of the Community Wellbeing division.
Key Selection Criteria
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a community development / community engagement or related discipline.
Significant experience designing and delivering community engagement initiatives.
Knowledge and experience of Local Government in the context of community engagement.
Ability to analyse complex and significant community issues and understand the needs of internal and external stakeholders, the political environment and the community.
Demonstrated ability to produce monitoring and evaluation reports on community engagement practice.
An understanding of key issues relating to access and inclusion.
Proven experience facilitating positive culture within a team of professionals.
