We have an immediate need for an energetic HR Officer to join the People and Culture team at Life Saving Victoria (LSV) in a full-time fixed contract for 3 months, to assist for the busy summer period ahead.

We are looking for a self-starter with previous volume recruitment experience with a strong understanding of systems.  You will be process driven and solution orientated, with great customer service skills to provide support for the human resource function to attract and induct talent to LSV.  This is a busy, multi-task oriented role offering significant variety.

We seek a proactive thinker, who enjoys working in a team environment. You will be adaptable with a real can do' attitude. You will be a people person with great customer service and communication skills.  

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in fast paced environment and enjoys rolling up their sleeves for a hands-on role with loads of variety!

Key Selection Criteria;

Ideal candidate: this position would ideally suit an internal recruiter or HR generalist with demonstrated broad HR administration experience gained in similar role.  You will be a team player with a friendly can-do' attitude.  You will have with some exposure to volunteer, sport or emergency service organisation preferred.

Specific requirements: you must have strong recruitment and human resource skillset.  Strong ethics with understanding of sensitivity and confidentiality.  You will have demonstrated success in delivering to timelines with the ability to operate in a high pressure environment.  Experience working with HR Information systems with a focus on volume recruitment and applicant tracking systems would be advantageous. 

Personal attributes:  A proactive, professional with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach able to work with a broad range of people from varying backgrounds. You will have a flexible, can do attitude and the ability to overcome obstacles to 'make things happen' and be able to co-ordinate on the run between internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time fixed term role for an initial 3 month contract.
