Civil Designer / Drafter with 2 - 10 Years' Experience

Engeny Water Management is a professional engineering consultancy that provides agile and progressive specialist water management and water infrastructure design services to government and private sector clients.  We operate in partnership with our clients, empower our staff and thrive on a performance-based culture.  Our business is owned and operated by more than 60 per cent of our staff.

During the COVID pandemic Engeny has sustained our workforce with no reductions in working hours, salaries, or entitlements.  As a result of recent significant project wins, we are seeking a talented civil designer / drafter with 2 - 10 years' experience to join our dynamic team. Upon joining the Engeny team, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute on projects including (not limited to) the following areas:

  • Mining (Tailings Dams, Levees, Creek Diversions, Roads, Pipelines, Drainage Infrastructure)
  • Stormwater (Culverts, Pipe Networks, Creek Rehabilitation, Erosion & Sediment Control)
  • Development (Stormwater Networks, Bioretention Systems)
  • Local Government (Civil Infrastructure, Wetlands, Detention Basins)

We are seeking a Civil Designer who is eager to learn and has skills in the following areas:

  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and project objectives
  • Experience preparing detailed drawings
  • Drafting and modelling experience with AutoCad and 12d
  • Approximately two to ten years' experience in civil design & drafting
  • Civil design experience particularly in areas of surface water management
  • Motivated and able to work independently, with support from senior staff and colleagues

The successful candidate must be undertaking or have completed an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and be an effective communicator with good time management skills. A valid driver's licence is also a requirement.
