Administration Officer - Fixed Term Part time

Unity Housing Company Ltd (Unity) is the largest single provider of low-cost community housing in South Australia. We are a values-based organisation and specialise in the provision of housing and accommodation for people on low income, ageing, living with a disability or experiencing homelessness in SA.

Unity is seeking an Administration Officer to work 19 hours per week over four days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) to support the regional housing team.  Primarily located in the Brighton Office, with a requirement to provide assistance across Unity’s sites to meet operational requirements.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader, the Administration Officer provides full reception cover and administration support enabling the housing team to provide a highly responsive and professional tenancy and property management service across the South region. This is an integral team role providing high level general and housing specific administrative and service delivery support to ensure continuity of service to Unity's clients.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the property management sector and can demonstrate previous experience; providing impeccable administrative support, undertaking data entry and providing support to the team of Housing Officers. This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement of a diverse tenant group which includes vulnerable members of the community.

Key Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a real estate administration-based role, specifically in Property Management would be advantageous
  2. Proven ability to undertaken multiple administrative tasks with sound attention to detail.
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, real estate programs and exposure and/or experience with Finance systems and processes.
  4. Empathy, understanding and proven ability in dealing with people with challenging and complex behaviours.
  5. Excellent communication skills with an ability to keep calm and professional.
  6. Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements.
