Financial Accountant - Part-time

The Role:

A great opportunity has opened up for a high-calibre Financial Accountant to join our head office Finance team.  Reporting to the CFO, you will take the assist with the financial processes for our Australian, NZ, HK & Singapore operations, supporting key stakeholders with critical financial data and month-end reporting.

This role is initially part-time, 3 days a week and will look to move to full-time in 2021.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly fiscal close for the Australian entities, ensuring appropriate accruals are raised, journals recorded, and month end timelines are conformed with
  • Ensuring the general ledgers are maintained and balance sheet reconciliations are prepared, and reconciled items are cleared promptly
  • Assist in ensuring the statutory and regulatory tax requirements are completed in a compliant and timely manner
  • Reconciliation of Group Intercompany balances and timely recording of sales recharges across the Group
  • Ongoing maintenance of fixed asset registers and ensure depreciation is recorded accurately
  • Preparing daily bank reconciliation and debtor receipting
  • Assist with key year-end audit processes
  • Assist in the preparation of quality monthly reporting to allow Cliftons Leadership team to understand monthly performance and monthly reporting

About You:

  • 3-5 years previous financial or management accounting experience within a commercial organisation - Big 4 experience will be positively viewed
  • Degree qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting
  • CPA / CA qualifications (or nearing completion)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and tax regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise at all levels up to Senior Management
  • Proven numerical problem solving and financial analytical skills
  • Demonstrated organisational ability to work within deadlines
  • Collaborative team player
  • Integrity and confidentiality
  • Highly motivated, energetic, flexible with a can-do attitude
