Administration Officer

Part Time - 0.6 EFT (Monday - Friday), Fixed Term until 30th June 2021 

Are you an experienced Administration Officer looking for a new challenge?

Ballarat Community Health is expanding their mental health workforce to deliver a range of community mental health services. We are looking for a person with administration skills to join our multidisciplinary team who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of people in our community.   

We are looking for an Administration Officer to support our new HeadtoHelp program. You will provide essential support to a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team by helping to ensure effective communication, documentation and accountability is provided.

You will provide a range of services to facilitate effective and efficient service delivery including managing receipt of referrals and referral lists, data collection and entry and scheduling appointments. You will also demonstrate your strong client focus in managing enquiries and appointment bookings for clients and other stakeholders.

If you have a caring, non-judgmental approach and can show empathy and patience with clients and staff this may be the opportunity that you've been looking for.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience in a health administration role 
  • Prior experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, personalities and varying needs 
  • Experience with working with mental health clinicians and mental health clients 
  • Your high attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workloads, conflicting tasks and deadlines 
  • Caring, non-judgement approach, showing empathy and patience with clients and staff
  • Familiarity with medical and client database management systems 

Also desirable:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration
