Hospitality Staff - Barista, Wait, Kitchen Hand

Our client operates a successful beach front café/restaurant located in Terrigal specialising in casual beach-side cruise that combines international expertise with fresh local produce. With a reputation for outstanding coffee, food and a distinctly warm inviting atmosphere, they are currently seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates keen to join their team in a variety of roles including Wait Staff, Barista and Kitchen Hands.

The Role

This is a casual position, where you are able to work more than 20 plus hours per week which includes weekends. The role ensures that customers are served in a professional and timely manner in order to provide a high quality service and delivery to all guests. The work can involve standing for long hours due to the nature of the role. 

Duties will include:

  • Ensure excellent and professional customer service at all times.
  • Setup and reset specific function activities as directed.
  • Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages.
  • Communicate and liaise with team members, kitchen and other areas of operation
  • Follow hygienic food and beverage handling procedures.
  • Adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation.
  • Ability to work in a team based environment.
  • Able to work a flexible roster including evening and weekend work where necessary.
  • Other duties as required and outlined by the Food and Beverage Manager and Supervisor.

What are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience.
  • Confidence in liaising with various internal and external clients.
  • A high standard of grooming and presentation.
  • Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages.
  • A friendly, customer focused attitude with the strive to provide Total Customer Satisfaction.
  • Initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and efficient.
  • The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings and on weekends.
  • Have full availability across the Summer months.
