About the role

The Sports Coordinator manages and coordinates the College's involvement in all inter-school sports programs such as AGSV, APS and other external sporting competitions. .

Assumption College is a member of the AGSV and fully participates in the AGSV sporting program and supports the AGSV Code of Conduct.

The Sports Coordinator will be involved in College sporting activities as well as off- site events and carnivals.  Note- attendance on Saturdays during the sporting seasons is required.

To be considered for this position applicants must meet the following selection criteria:

  • Sports program development and management experience.
  • Coaches Accreditation (desirable).
  • Understanding of sports culture and organisations, including working with volunteers in a school setting (or similar).
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills.
  • Ability to exercise tact and judgment where required.
  • Service oriented and energetic, with a collaborative mind-set.
  • Experienced in working with diverse groups in a variety of community settings.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated.
  • Highly effective organisation and administrative skills.
  • Adaptable, capacity to work effectively in the face of changing priorities, deadlines and pressure.
  • The successful applicant must hold a current driver's license and current Victoria Police Check and a Working with Children's Card.

The role will commence in the 2021 school year.
