Pilbara Minerals are looking for Great People to join our team in powering a sustainable future.  Located 120km south of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region, the Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project is one of the most exciting new projects in Western Australia. Its rapid development has seen it go from exploration to production in under four years.
As a Process Operator, and reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring the processing plant and operating equipment in a safe, productive and efficient manner to maximise plant performance and achieve quality product to meet customer requirements. 
This is a permanent role which operates on an 8/6 (day shift), 7/7 (night shift) rotational roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.  
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Monitor and control areas of the processing plant such as;
  • HPGR (high pressure grinding), screening, heavy media separation circuit, milling and gravity circuits, flotation, filtration, reagents, and tailings treatment
  • Identify and communicate items of the plant that require preventative maintenance or repair
  • Identifying and providing recommendations on process improvements
  • Solid experience in operating a wet processing plant in particularly heavy medium separation, grinding, flotation or reagents and filter press.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for all positions
  • Current WA Driver’s licence is essential
  • Forklift, confined space, working at heights or EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket
This is a physically demanding role in challenging conditions. You must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen. You will be requested to provide a current (no more than 6 months) National Police Clearance.
