About the role

As an experienced Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for conducting all site maintenance to deliver a safe and efficiently running site.

This role covers site utility services, processing equipment, filling machines, packaging lines and warehouse and distribution. This role is a 24 x 7 rotating shift role where you will work cloesly with the Operations teams across the site. 

You will also be required to:

  • Support the Site Reliability Managers and Engineers to ensure the site is maintained to a safe and reliable standard.
  • Ensure stoppages, performance issues or breakdowns are rectified in a safe and timely manner.
  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis on equipment.
  • Working with external servicing providers to meet the sites equipment reliability plan.
  • Ensure all parts are issued to the Mex work order request.
  • Work with the reliability planning team to ensure all parts are onsite for servicing and corrective actions.
  • Train, mentor and coach the operations and reliability teams on the safe and correct operating procedures of the equipment. 

Due to the nature of the role and the specialised skills gained through this role you will offer support and training to the site reliability and operations team

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working within a Qualified A Class Electrical role, within in an FMCG envionrment; 
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
  • A current Victoria A class licence.
  • Specialised skills with PLC,  instrumentation or Scada will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to read Schematics and wiring diagrams, OEM manuals/plans/PID’s to understand equipment.
  • Formal qualifications on boiler and steam maintenance will be highly regarded.
  • Formal training on Tetra UHT filling and packing systems would be highly desirable.
  • Ideally you have a forklift license.
  • Sound knowledge or training in PLC systems and or Scada.
  • Can do attitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide on call assistance to support the reliability and operations teams.
