About the Opportunity

Are you looking for a change of lifestyle? If so, we can offer you the unique opportunity to take on a permanent, full-time role, as a Park Manager leading two of our inland parks – Lake Burrendong and Mookerawa Waters.

This role offers you the opportunity to apply a ‘hands-on’ approach working with the park staff and other senior stakeholders to ensure the park is operated in accordance with our organisational policies and overall strategic direction. 

The Park Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the park by working collaboratively with the broader Reflections team to optimise outcomes for the overall organisation, in the spirit of our organisational values and mission.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead by example, engendering a strong customer service-based culture.
  • Be responsible for implementing Reflections strategic plan, and ensure the financial performance of your park, by driving revenue opportunities and effectively managing expenses.
  • Implement efficient management practices in staffing, financial control, equipment maintenance, environment, staff training and development.
  • Oversee customer service delivery, implementation of WHS practices, and security, in line with organisational policies and procedures and best practice principles.
  • Utilise your skills and experience in negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution to enable effective liaison at all levels with varied stakeholders.
  • Have a proactive, not reactive, approach, and utilise your skills and experience to identify and effectively manage issues.
  • Respond to after-hours incidents and escalate matters accordingly.

To fulfil the requirements of the role, you will be required to live on-site and conduct security checks and patrols of the park as part of your on-call requirements. 

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have to have the following requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in leadership and management or equivalent relevant experience
  • Current Provide First Aid certificate
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-level operational leadership and management of an equivalent business
  • Experience in the tourism and hospitality industries
  • Strong business acumen, including experience in financial reporting and managing budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Experience in Newbook booking system (desirable)
  • Experience in TANDA workforce management software (desirable)

As part of the recruitment process, applicants will be subject to a National Criminal History Check and a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment (including Functional Capacity Evaluation and drug and alcohol screen) or will have to provide evidence of recent successful assessments.

The successful candidate must have the right to work in Australia and be able to provide evidence of this.
