Maintenance Technician

About the role

As an experienced Maintenance Technician, you will be required to carry out the plant maintenance to deliver a safe and efficiently run site.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working on a rotating roster;
  • Ensuring compliance to all site quality procedures including GMP standards and HACCP guidelines;
  • Completing any preventative maintenance tasks to a high standard;
  • Actively manage spare parts inventory;
  • Acting in a prompt manner in the event of machinery fault or breakdown;
  • Providing technical assistance and coaching to operators;
  • Supporting production teams to achieve production volumes;
  • Reviewing pre-operational checks and act on safety inspections daily.

What we are looking for

  • Recognised Trade qualifications;
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working within a similar position within the Food/Beverage manufacturing industry;
  • Engineering background with relevant qualifications;
  • Demonstrated understanding of heat treatment processes;
  • Previous experience in operating equipment; and
  • Demonstrated experience working with Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement principles.
