Laboratory Technician

About the role

Reporting to the QA Manager, this role will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate sampling and testing of products, in accordance with quality and laboratory requirements.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Complying with company health and safety requirements;
  • Actively participating in Daily Management System meetings;
  • Conducting sampling and testing;
  • Performing routine calibration, verification and maintenance activities on laboratory testing equipment;
  • Assisting with writing and reviewing laboratory documentation; and
  • Reviewing product specifications and ensuring all results are in line with specifications.

About you

You will be passionate about your work and ready to jump into a role where you can hit the ground running!

You must be available to work on a rotating roster, including day, afternoon, night and weekend shift work. 

Additionally, you will have:

  • Completed tertiary qualifications in Quality Assurance, Food Science or a related discipline is highly desirable;
  • Previous experience in a similar role;
  • Available to work a rotating roster including weekends;
  • Previous experience auditing qualifications in food safety, quality and environmental systems and quality systems in a FMCG environment;
  • Accurate data and analytical skills; and
  • Strong ability to follow laboratory methods, performing laboratory tests, producing reliable and precise data.
