Lady Elliot Island is a coral cay located at the southern tip of the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef. Situated within a highly protected ’Green Zone’ the island is a sanctuary for over 1,200 species of marine life and is known for its abundance of manta rays, turtles, amazing array of spectacular marine life and unspoilt coral reef. Located on this coral cay is Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort, an award winning eco tourism business.
We are seeking a leader preferably with previous hospitality experience to join our award winning team on Lady Elliot Island. Our people are our whole business and therefore we are striving to build an inclusive culture that empowers every individual to reach their potential across the business.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this leadership position plays a pivotal role in the business. Therefore we would like to hear what you would bring to our team and how you have enhanced teams in the past.

The resort operates with two Island Managers sharing the responsibilities of the day to day operations of the island. We are recruiting for one of these positions.
This is a fly in / fly out position with a roster requiring 10 days on the Island and 4 days off the island. Your accommodation and meals will be provided on the Island in assigned staff accommodation. As a remote appointment the only transport option is via light plane from either Hervey Bay or Coolangatta in QLD, therefore your appointment would be based at one of these locations.
