THE  COMPANY 

PIER Marketing is a full-service marketing agency based in Mornington servicing clients across the Peninsula, South Eastern suburbs and beyond.  

PIER elevates brands through strategically driven marketing activity and aspirational design, all to achieve organisational growth for our clients. We are looking for an experienced, professional and commercially-minded Account Director to join the team. 

 

THE ROLE 

Account Leadership - The role of Account Director will head up key accounts for the PIER business to ensure client delight for retention and growth of accounts. Inspiring a team of Marketing Coordinators, you will nurture deep client relationships through a demonstrated balance of being both creative and commercially astute.  

Marketing Expertise - You will have an expert grasp of the marketing discipline and be able to cut to the important parts of any client’s brief, identify solutions and work to deliver clients measurable results aligned with their business goals. And you’ll pride yourself on doing it on time and to budget.  

Process Improvement  - A natural problem-solver, you will drive the improvement of agency efficiencies and output, all with a laser-sharp focus on client satisfaction levels, measured by biennial NPS research.  

Business Development  - You will be involved in new business development alongside PIER’s General Manager. You will impress prospects with your ability to quickly and succinctly understand and summarise their needs, wants and market opportunities. And you’ll present PIER’s solutions in both a creative and commercially compelling manner. Able to quickly build trust and confidence, you will thrive in taking prospects through to loyal client status by delivering work and results above and beyond their expectations.  

 

THE PERSON 

You will thrive on building meaningful relationships and being part of a team that supports the growth and success of client’s businesses. 

You will be clear and concise in your communication style and a natural at getting internal and external stakeholders up to speed and bought into your plans.  

You'll have vast experience managing clients who will love you for your clear, friendly and confident communication style. Your inquisitive nature means that you thrive in meeting new people and understanding their business challenges.  

You'll be tertiary qualified in the marketing profession and have ten or more years marketing experience in a client leadership role. You'll have managed direct reports before who will describe you as knowledgeable, fair and fun to work with. In return for your highly valued experience, we'll provide ongoing professional development and an opportunity to be an integral part of a growing agency.
