Your Challenge:

As the SEO Executive for hipages, a private technology company, you will be responsible for supporting and executing organic search strategies across both sides of the marketplace (the B2C Consumer side and the B2B Tradie side). Currently, organic contributes a significant amount to our B2C strategy, bringing a lot of jobs to our platform. There is opportunity for further growth in jobs by increasing our content and further boosting our SEO. On the B2B Tradie side of the marketplace, we are more embryonic in our SEO and content strategy to drive acquisition. We are looking to further develop our digital presence amongst tradies and provide valuable content that adds value and increases tradie registration.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling the execution of many of the elements of our SEO & content strategy, including:
    • Keyword and competitor research
    • Writing detailed briefs
    • Helping source tradies/category leads for interviews
    • Finding content gaps
    • Uploading and optimising content
  • Performing SEO analysis to identify any issues and opportunities
  • Using industry-leading tools to identify content and link building opportunities
  • Managing tracking tools and reporting on progress

 

You bring:

To be successful in this role you  must be someone who enjoys  the collection and reporting of measurement data, as well as reviews of marketing activities to identify improvements. You must have experience supporting the use of social analytics and listening tools and have the ability to report on findings proficiently. You are someone who can work independently to gain insights why collecting information and working with market research agencies to inform marketing plans, analyse and present information from research and customer feedback as insights. You are customer focused and can support the development of marketing activities that contribute to the achievement of the desired customer experience. 

You are able to work collaboratively with others to achieve desired goals and are a supportive team member. You recognise the need for deadlines and can effectively allocate appropriate amounts of time to complete tasks to meet these deadlines without compromising on the quality of your work. You can confidently present your ideas to others in small informal settings using prepared materials and visual aids where needed. You can also demonstrate problem solving skills and can make decisions based on the integration of data from various sources and be able to identify cause-effect relationships of your decisions. You are highly organised with great attention to detail and the ability to manage simultaneous projects. You take pride in your work and your ability to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal.

 

Your CV:

  • Strong knowledge of SEO (2+ years of experience)
  • Prior experience in content marketing 
  • Understanding of HTML + CSS 
  • Conversion rate optimisation experience
  • Experience working with website optimisation tools
  • Experience in backlink analysis and strategy
  • Experience working on large websites
  • Technical Experience:  
    • SEO onsite best practices
    • A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation
    • Google analytics (or equivalent) and search console skills
    • Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems
    • Experience across B2C and B2B and in scaling content (a bonus but not essential)
