Position Purpose:

As the Cloud Support Team Leader, you will be heading a team of 6 Senior Cloud Support Specialists.  Our Support team is one of our key differentiators and continues to set the bar when exceeding customers’ expectations.

As a passionate and motivated problem-solver, equipped with deep technical expertise, in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Operations & DevOps practices, with an understanding of how this applies to Managed Services for AWS Cloud Customers. You possess a  natural drive for contiguous process improvement for both yourself and the people around you.

This opportunity will see you step into a newly defined leadership role, helping the existing team shape the culture and growth of Hostopia towards a true next-gen managed services provider offering a single threaded Cloud Solution (AWS).  Being a well established name in Cloud hosting with our Anchor Band.  We are committed & excited about our ever growing team and you will help mould our Next Generation of Cloud Services.

Essential Capabilities & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Experience working in a Cloud Support customer facing role

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology preferred.

  • Must currently hold AWS certification in Solution Architect - Associate. Sys Ops Associate.  Certifications in DevOps Engineer pro, highly desirable.

  • Understand that this is a 24x7 environment and a willingness to work across shifts during this time frame.

  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing the management and supporting of AWS Solutions.

  • Strong core Linux systems administration experience is required (Redhat / CentOS preferred).

  • Will have a positive and upbeat attitude as well as an ability to build rapport with colleagues and assist in the development of new hires and those developing.

  • Have worked in a people role with some leadership responsibility is desirable.

  • Passion for Amazon Web Services.

  • Basic working knowledge of Windows systems administration.

  • Familiar with Protocols and core infrastructure concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, DHCP and Load Balancing.

  • Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform (preferred) or Cloudformation will be highly desired.

  • Configuration management tools such as Puppet (preferred) or Ansible.

  • Experience with working in a DevOps environment with the ability to implement DevOps practices by coaching and mentoring team members.

  • A track record for identifying opportunities and new ways of doing things

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in building management depth by providing guidance and mentorship to all levels of leadership within your organization and serving as a role model for DevOps and Next Gen Managed services.

  • Lead, develop, coach and motivate the team to reach their potential and drive high value customer support
