The role

We are hiring a HR Operations Manager to join our Operations team reporting directly into the General Manager, Operations. 

This will be a part-time position with flexible hours based in St Leonards, NSW 2065. We expect the successful candidate to work the equivalent of 3 days per week across a 5 day week. We encourage flexible working hours with a regular presence in the office.

The start date for the role is January 2021.

 

What you would do:

Work culture

Work with all management and employees to ensure a safe, healthy and fun working atmosphere. Promote the same positive work culture within and across teams and geographies.

This role will involve working closely with GMs to facilitate a positive and equitable experience for all.

 

Recruitment

Work with Managers to support the recruitment process including:

  1. Assist with the creation of position descriptions and role package recommendations
  2. Devising optimal strategies to filter and choose the right candidates for roles (ensuring both a cultural and skill based fit)
  3. Filter and pre-screen candidates 
  4. Facilitate suitability testing such as IQ / EQ etc
  5. Conduct background checks as needed

Own the induction and training programme for new employees, setting them up for success

 

Performance Management

Work closely with managers  to ensure employees are engaged and productive, including:

  1. Comprehensive annual performance reviews by managers

  2. 360 degree feedback from subordinates, peers and managers


 

Training and development

Work closely with management to provide training and development support to employees including:

  1. Ensure our external training budget is used effectively to meet the needs of the company.

  2. Develop internal training plans for employees (practical experience, mentoring programmes etc.)

  3. Maintain a talent pipeline (succession management and development plans)


Administration

There are many administrative responsibilities for the role, including:

  1. Ensure employee records are up to date and accurate

  2. Managing company policies and procedures and ensuring health and safety in the workplace

  3. Ownership of our Employment HR software, including employee awareness and appropriate usage

  4. Ensuring Studiosity complies with employment law in all our geographies 

  5. Run regular employee satisfaction surveys and work with management to understand results and act appropriately

We are looking for:

 

  • Passion and people skills (you care and you are fair).

  • A bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources discipline.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a HR role.

  • Experience in development and implementation of HR systems and processes

  • Business and technical aptitude.

  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions that are efficient and effective.

  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience visualising data, creating detailed reports and sharing findings in presentations.

  • Competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • A track record of following through on commitments.

  • Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
