Production Operator - UHT

About the role

We have exciting opportunities in our team for Production Operators to be part of the Freedom Foods future. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Operate, monitor and adjust manufacturing equipment;
  • Operate, monitor packaging equipment to ensure optimum speeds and quality;
  • Perform routine in-process checks during production;
  • Manufacture and Package products in accordance to specifications;
  • Accurate recording of documentation batch production records, including production reporting to management on a daily basis;
  • Clean production areas and equipment in accordance to appropriate time intervals; and
  • Participate in the implementation of agreed process improvement initiatives in the Plant. 

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working within a similar position within the Food/Beverage manufacturing industry;
  • Previous experience in operating Batching, and packaging equipment;
  • Current Forklift License would be highly regarded;
  • Sound understanding of quality and workplace health and safety standards, legislation and regulations;
  • A minimum formal education of High School Certificate, or equivalent, highly desirable;
  • Demonstrated experience working with Lean principals highly desirable; and
  • Excellent attention to detail in all areas of work, computer skill.
