The Darwin Turf Club is home to one of the most prestigious sporting events in the Top End, the Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival.

Nestled in the lush tropical surrounds of the Fannie Bay racecourse, the Club races 39 times a year and is famed for the running of the iconic Great Northern Darwin Cup, the highlight of an 8 day racing carnival in July – August

About The role

We are looking for a Corporate Partnership Executive reporting into the General Manager of Marketing & Media. You will responsible for developing strong corporate relationships within the private and public sectors and be accountable for driving revenue from sponsorship assets.

This is a hands on position which requires an experienced professional who can enhance the partnerships portfolio and build on our revenue targets to achieve great results. In addition to this, the Corporate Partnership Executive will think strategically by way of attracting new partners to the Darwin Turf Club and seek to maximise both new and existing partner benefit experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focusing on the sale of all annual Sponsorship packages and other assets at the Darwin Turf Club
  • Collaborating with the Food & Beverage and Sales and Marketing teams to develop on the corporate partner experience at the Darwin Turf Club
  • Developing key relationships and providing exceptional service to maximise revenue from current and potential corporate partners
  • Managing the delivery of benefits to our Corporate Partners, ensuring that service exceeds expectations
  • Collaborating with the GM of Marketing & Media in the development and delivery of the overall Corporate Partnership strategy
  • Assisting in the development and presentation of commercial reports and strategy including the analysis of future revenue opportunities 

About You:

  • Proven track record of success in the negotiation and delivery of commercial agreements 
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Experience in working in Sales and/or Partnerships with a significant focus on client servicing
  • Strong commercial acumen with working knowledge of effective sales and relationship building skills
  • Strong Communication Skills – verbal and written at all business levels
  • Have a high standard of presentation
  • Experience in managing and working off CRM systems ie: Salesforce, Anais, Delphi.fdc

  • Immediate Start Date
  • Remuneration will be commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience within a similar role
  • 4 weeks annual leave + 1 additional week time in lieu for extra hours worked over Darwin Cup Carnival
  • Time in lieu for weekend work and public holidays
