Solution Architect

Flinders Port Holdings is South Australia’s leading port services group, and owner of Flinders Ports (including HydroSurvey Australia), Flinders Logistics and Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal – the state’s only container operator. Privately owned, with over 800 staff, the Flinders Port Holdings Group makes a significant contribution to the South Australian economy as a direct employer and through the efficient, reliable movement of goods through South Australia’s ports.
 
Flinders Port Holdings have recently established a multi-year Information Services digital transformation strategy, supported by a significant capital investment, aimed squarely at driving business effectiveness.
 
The Solution Architect will play a central role in transforming the group’s IT Strategy program into actionable end-to-end solution designs that are entirely aligned to the technical, integration and architectural guidelines.
Working closely with the Program Delivery, Business Systems and Infrastructure teams the Solution Architect will contribute to the improvement of relevant solution development processes, procedures and technical direction to ensure quality, relevancy and currency.

The successful appointee will demonstrate significant industry experience as a solution architect with particular strength in applications and busines systems solutioning, supported by a sound understanding of infrastructure. In addition to demonstrated ability to identify business requirements and translate these into well designed, effective solutions, they will engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Specific sector experience in supply chain, transport, logistics or in businesses that use operational technology in addition to the normal range of corporate systems, would be well regarded.
 
Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or IT, supported by relevant ongoing professional development and industry certifications in solution or enterprise architecture are essential.
