RSL Club Southport is a progressive club in Southport’s CBD and looking forward to welcoming an Operations Manager to the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring long term profitability and day to day management and compliance. 


There are exciting times ahead for this up and coming Club and its dedicated team!


RSL Club Southport is currently looking to fill the role of Operations Manager to work on a full time basis. This position offers an opportunity to be a part of a very enthusiastic, dedicated, growing and customer focused team.


So what will it take to secure the role? You will have:

  • A passion for delivering and driving customer satisfaction
  • Previous experience in a RSL, club or similar environment within Queensland and extensive knowledge of a Club’s operations
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, under pressure and multi task
  • The ability to provide direction and strongly manage a team on day to day happenings
  • Be able to quickly take initiative
  • Have high ethical standards and proven confidentiality
  • Excellent personal presentation and grooming
  • Strong reporting, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong networking skills
  • High level communication skills, in all written, verbal and listening areas
  • Strong time management and self-organisation and motivation skills
  • A strong background and knowledge of Gaming
  • Relevant qualifications such as Licensed Gaming Manager, RSA and RSG
  • Flexibility with days and hours of work
  • A positive attitude and team mentality
  • Formal qualifications such as a Bachelor of Business, Diploma of Management or similar is advantageous but not necessary


This role will see you handling the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the delivery of excellent Customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring the efficient operation of the Club on a day to day basis
  • Managing staff on a day to day basis and leading by example
  • Developing strategies for the long term benefit and profit of the Club
  • Assisting the General Manager
  • Ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable Club for both our patrons and staff
  • Ensuring day to day legal compliance on all matters, such as AML/CTF RSA and RSG reporting
  • Providing support to staff and management when needed and taking a ‘hands on’ approach
  • Writing reports and communicating happenings as appropriate
  • Ensuring compliance of the Clubs policies and procedures
  • Work with and assist other managers as required
