Manager, Infrastructure Reform and Monitoring

The Manager, Infrastructure Reform and Monitoring is responsible for leading and managing a team in developing, monitoring and reviewing a suite of projects for Victoria's development contributions tools to maximise their value and effectiveness in delivering the infrastructure needed by growing communities and oversee a reform program to investigate and recommend options to simplify Victoria's infrastructure contributions system, while retaining its ability to generate the contribution required to meet the needs of the State.   

This position will liaise with stakeholders, facilitate priority projects and prepare high quality reports and briefs.  This position will work closely with other managers to support effective resource planning, people management, performance management, project management, and accountability for budgets, resources and timely delivery of work.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in planning and policy development and demonstrable experience in leading high performing teams and in the design and maintenance of strategic and statutory planning systems is mandatory.
  • A high-level understanding of significant government policies and strategies, with an emphasis on urban development and transport, combined with a sound knowledge of government processes involved with progressing budgets, plans, strategy, policy, regulation and legislation is required.

This is a fixed term position until 31 December 2021.
