Administration Officer

Mackay Regional Council is seeking an experienced administrator to join our ECI -Waste Services team, on a permanent part time basis. The successful applicant would be working in a job-share arrangement 3 days per week.

This role will provide an administrative service to the ECI – Waste Services Program, in particular, the Manager of Waste Services. The ideal applicant will be energetic and motivated to provide a high level of efficient and timely administrative services to the team. This is an exciting and varied role which will give you the opportunity to support and interact with a range of members across the Program.

 

Key responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the Manager Waste Services and officers within Waste Services.
  • Prepare correspondence and responses to general letters on behalf of Waste Services.
  • Provide the highest level of service to internal and external stakeholders documenting requests received through all mediums and coordinating the appropriate response.
  • Arrange and manage internal and external meetings, distribute calendar requests, prepare agendas, minute taking, and distribution and other related documentation as required.
  • Coordinate the compilation of the monthly Waste Services review and statistics report.
  • Utilise CI Anywhere to prepare requisitions as required. Utilise Finance One to process monthly invoices for contractors and other creditors. Prepare manual invoices and credit notes as required.
