The Role

The People and Culture team at YMCA WA is seeking a Full time HR Officer to be based at our head office in Welshpool. This role provides timely, accurate advice, education and support to management and staff on HR related policy, procedures, systems and issues in accordance with the values, vision and mission of the Y, organisational policies and procedures and industrial legislative framework. Providing support to all aspects of the Human Resources team including the payroll function, this position collaborates with the broader People and Culture team to provide effective and efficient HR service with a strong customer focus.

 Your Profile:

As the successful candidate you will be an enthusiastic individual with a personable attitude and high attention to detail who has experience working within a similar environment. You will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and have a high level of time management skills to be able to manage a busy workload. You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Initiative and the proven ability to organise, prioritise and plan effectively
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and current HR practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of HRIS Systems and proficiency in MS Office programs
  • High attention to detail
  • Police clearance, Working with Children Check and current driver’s license
