Transport Manager

ResourceCo Material Solutions is the Material Solutions arm of the business focused on providing material import and export solutions to the earthmoving and civil construction industry. With a proven track record in providing the most cost effective and sustainable solutions in the market we have a proven track record working on some of Australia’s largest infrastructure and Waste Management projects.

This is a great opportunity to lead the Transport Division and drive a positive culture of safety, compliance, performance and productivity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the RMS Transport Division performance is optimised, costs controlled and a strong commercial result is achieved.
  • Focus on Driver management to deliver a strong and productive culture centered on safely achieving daily targets and high quality customer service.
  • Lead the transport team to achieve objectives, KPI’s and maintain a safe operating environment.
  • Mentor and develop the transport team.
  • Ensure all transport safety, compliance and operational requirements are met.
  • Work with key transport partners to ensure availability, performance and commercial earnings.

Skills and Experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of Road Transport Industry related rules and regulations .
  • Comprehensive understanding and demonstrated experience of Logistics business operations.
  • Proven experience in divisional profit and cost control management.
  • Strong people leadership and influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation.
  • High Level organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise work flows.
