GENERAL MANAGER INFRASTRUCTURE & ENVIRONMENT

With a population of over 30,000 people, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a dynamic and sophisticated regional centre offering a fantastic lifestyle to its residents. Kalgoorlie is currently experiencing a significant growth period and is an exciting place to live and work.

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a very entrepreneurial Local Government focussing much of its attention on economic growth and development as well as infrastructure. It pushes the boundaries where necessary to achieve preferred outcomes.

This critical role becomes available firstly as a result of the recent incumbent taking up a CEO position elsewhere, and secondly an organisation restructure.

As one of only three senior executives reporting to the CEO, this is not a traditional Local Government structure, and it is not a traditional portfolio of responsibilities, which include engineering and works, infrastructure, sewerage and water services, open space, planning and regulatory services, asset management, plant and equipment and special projects.

The successful applicant must be a highly experienced senior executive and a qualified engineer. This is essential to compliment other skills within the executive team and because of significant projects underway and capital works challenges facing the City.

The person appointed to this position can expect a remuneration package above $250,000, together with the potential for future career progression.
