About the role:


C&K Queen Street Community Kindergarten are looking to employ a part time Assistant for a fixed term contract position starting in January 2021.
No two days are the same at C&K Queen Street Community Kindergarten. Our teaching team tailor each day's learning considering the interests of the children in the group. The spacious environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and time spent discovering the natural environment outdoors. We operate an indoor/outdoor program and are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to join our small team.
 
Ideal applicants will have: 
  • An ACECQA recognised qualification – already obtained or working towards.
  • Prior experience working in the early childhood profession.
  • Previous experience with inclusion support is highly desirable
  • Awareness of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLF)
  • Willingness to learn and implement C&K's Curriculum Approach: Listening and Learning Together.
  • Experience assisting with the implementation of a planned program, ensuring the needs of the group and individual children are met. Ability to obtain a Blue Card, First Aid and National police check
  • An ability to obtain a Blue Card, First Aid and National police check
  • Knowledge of and commitment to children's safety and wellbeing.
