Farm labourer

Our client—the world's leading poultry breeding company—is searching for poultry farm workers to assist at their Southern Highlands facilities.
You’ll work diligently in a controlled livestock environment, carrying out general duties associated with housing and rearing poultry. These duties include collecting floor eggs, floor walking, grading, reporting and sanitising.
You’ll be an energetic, enthusiastic and positive team player with a proven track record of reliability and hard work—and a willingness to learn.
You’ll need to be fit and strong, so you can perform repetitive bending and manual handling tasks between 10kg and 20kg, and you’ll have a driver’s licence and your own transport.
Experience in poultry farming is preferable but not essential as on-the-job training will be provided.
You’ll be employed on a permanent part-time basis, providing contracted work for a minimum of 20 rostered hours a week.
Be warned: the poultry breeding industry has very strict biosecurity and animal welfare standards, so you’ll need to satisfy biosecurity requirements, including having no contact with other chickens, pet birds, pigs or intensive livestock operations.
If you’re a self-confessed “chickenista”, this could be your dream job.
