Engineering Administration Officer

About the Opportunity

The Engineering Administration Officer will provide administrative support services to the Manager Design and Technical Services and teams within the Unit to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively. This role is also responsible for efficiently deal with customer and Council inquiries both in person, by telephone or email.

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Completion of administrative/business course or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years administrative experience (preferred Local Government experience)
  • Experience in office management and administration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Extensive computer literacy with demonstrated implementation of those skills
  • High level communication skills, both written and oral, with a focus on providing strong customer service
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines on a daily basis and possession of time management skills

Salary: Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award. This position is placed in Grade 9 of the new Cumberland salary structure with a salary range of $1,297.61 to $1,492.25 per week plus superannuation. Commencement salary will depend upon qualifications, experience and competencies.

Conditions of Employment: This is a full-time permanent position with access to a 9 day fortnight. This position will be located at Auburn, however you may be required to operate from the Merrylands office or other sites.
