Human Resources Consultant

Skildare is a leading Human Resources consultancy that provides expert and professional outsourced HR services to an array of valued clients throughout Newcastle, the Hunter and broader NSW.


To support our continued growth and expanding client base across many industries, we are seeking two dynamic HR Consultants to join our highly capable Skildare team in the new year. Reporting to one of our Senior HR Business Partners, you will be a part of a small team which supports a dedicated group of clients providing the full spectrum of HR Services utilising your expertise and relationship skills to provide the very best HR outcomes.  

The Role
Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting HR/ER activities for your clients, e.g. performance management, supporting in workplace investigations, discipline and grievance handling, remuneration etc;
  • HR policy and procedural support and advice;
  • Preparing and/or reviewing contracts of employment;
  • Providing advice across modern awards and agreements;
  • Building relationships to influence workplace behaviours and culture;
  • Supporting business leaders to implement change management initiatives;
  • Supporting and/or facilitate the negotiation and implementation of enterprise agreements; and
  • Working collaboratively with our Skildare team to develop your skills, share your expertise and utilise our internal knowledge to deliver best practice (practical) solutions for our clients.

About You
To be considered for this role it is essential that you have;

  • a degree in Human Resources or related field (essential);
  • demonstrated experience in HR/ER (approx. 3- 5 years);
  • well-honed interpersonal skills;
  • a great sense of humour (essential); 
  • a positive attitude;
  • the ability to be decisive;
  • excellent written communication skills; and
  • skills in utilising Microsoft suite of applications.

Sales and business development do not form part of your HR role, which allows you to focus on what you do best – Human Resources!

There are two roles ideally we would like to fill early in 2021, with one to commence mid January and one to commence at the beginning of March.
