The Position

St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital are seeking a professional and motivated Personal Assistant to provide a high standard of secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Nursing & Midwifery (DONM), the Director of Corporate Services (DCS) and the Director of Business Development (DBD).

Within this full time position, you will be responsible in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment while completing a range of administrative duties including maintenance of diaries, answering and screening telephone calls, preparing correspondence, travel bookings, coordination of patient feedback, and managing office equipment and stationery requirements.

Applicants must have previous experience as a personal assistant or senior secretarial position supporting a managerial role to be considered further. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Demonstrated work experience in a personal assistant or senior secretarial role supporting a managerial role.
  • Evidence of organisational abilities, the ability to prioritise workloads and to work to required deadlines while under pressure.
  • Accurate and efficient typing, computer, document control and data entry skills with advanced MS Office suite skills
  • Sound analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with Executive, Managers, Caregivers, the public and other external stakeholders whilst conveying a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • High level written communication skills including the ability to draft letters, memos, standard reports and other correspondence on behalf of the DONM, DCS and DBD.
