About the role

  • The Technical Officer / Engineer provides technical, consultative support and expert advice in the performance of minor projects and activities related to civil construction and maintenance programs in line with Council goals.
  • The Salary Range for this position is $65,834.43 - $82,652.94 gross per annum plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.4% superannuation.
  • This is a permanent full-time position located at Pittsworth.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria

  1. Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the Success Criteria in the attached Position Description.
  2. Demonstrated ability to undertake projects which impact on civil construction and maintenance programs as well as providing reports on the progress of project activities,
    including recommendations.
  3. Demonstrated ability to provide specialist technical advice and support for matters relevant
    to civil construction and maintenance projects and/or programs.
  4. Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills including the ability to lead a
    team, set work project and/or program priorities, monitor workflow and establish outcomes
    to achieve set goals.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment by developing effective
    working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and providing advice in areas of
    expertise.
  6. Understanding of and commitment to Council's Organisational Value of Teamwork.
