We are an established firm based in South East Melbourne. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant, to assist with the management of our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements for various clients across different industries.
The person we seek should be professional, self motivated, able to work autonomously in a busy but relax environment. Excellent organisational skills and accuracy are essential, as well as good customer relation skills and ability to communicate clearly. This position is for 3 or 4 day work per week.
The role will include:
- Payroll, payroll tax and superannuation payments
- Bank & various account reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger
- Prepare month end and year end journals and adjustments
- Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS
- Prepare cash flow & budget for various clients
- Prepare management and other accounting reports as required
- Prepare reports for self-managed super fund
- Liaise with clients
- A minimum of 2 years full function bookkeeping experience in public practice
- Strong attention to detail & ability to work with minimal supervision
- Expertise in MYOB, Xero and other cloud software
- Knowledge of BGL Simple Fund is highly desirable
- Intermediate Excel Skills
- High level of initiative, proactive, and forward thinking attitude
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passionate in helping clients to grow their business
- Experience in preparing tax return will be advantageous
