About the Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic marketing generalist to join the Marketing and Content team at the Geelong Cats Football Club.

You will have a critical role in helping develop the Club’s brand across all its key operations from the AFL and AFLW teams, through its community programs and multiple consumer facing businesses, events and philanthropic arms, among others. 

As the Marketing Coordinator, your experience driving and coordinating insight-driven marketing strategies will assist the Club in creating a unique customer journey and experience, utilising both digital and traditional communications channels. You will also play a key role in helping manage key stakeholder relationships, delivering mutually beneficial brand and commercial outcomes for both the Club and its partners. This is a full-time position.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in the coordination of the Club’s overall brand strategy, customer journey and experience
  • Assist in the growth and development of the Club’s health and fitness and hospitality businesses
  • Deliver marketing support for the Club’s philanthropic arm
  • Coordination of the Club’s above and below the line advertising schedule, including in-kind advertising
  • Deliver marketing outcomes on match days
  • Drive the coordination of the Club’s digital communications to members and key stakeholders
  • Utilise external stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Contribute to the creation, design and implementation of competitions and promotions
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Club’s website, Official App and other consumer facing platforms

Skills and Attributes

  • Proven experience in coordinating and measuring effective integrated marketing campaigns
  • Possess a customer-first, insights drive approach, combined with creative thinking
  • Experience using CRM systems, eDM clients, CMS platforms
  • Proven experience in copywriting and design
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • A background/knowledge in creative agency, member-based organisations or sports is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational, coordination and time management skills
  • Approaches the role with creativity, energy and enthusiasm
