We have designed, constructed and maintained many of Western Australia’s most iconic gardens. Manager People and Culture role

We are looking for a strong yet relaxed hands-on, all-round and influential HR professional who will thrive in a medium sized, diverse, centrally located Landscaping business.  This is a fast-paced multi-faceted role, where you will need to juggle conflicting priorities whilst making decisions to meet changing business needs across Design, Construction, Maintenance and Administrative areas. You will be an effective negotiator highly skilled in people management, award interpretation, recruitment and traineeship management, whilst having excellent experience across all key facets of HR policy, procedure and systems management.  You need to be a 'real' person ready to get in and do what it takes to make the change. We have grown steadily over recent years and require a technically competent, quick thinker who can review procedures and bring the system into the new phase. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be instrumental in driving cultural change initiatives, whilst positively coaching and mentoring the management team.  Performance management, salary banding, researching and implementing best practice workplace initiatives will all be position requirements. Some understanding of safety would be highly advantageous.

You will be a reliable, adaptable, great communicator with a strong work ethic and a ‘can-do’ attitude, who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, handle all the components of the role from senior to basic tasks, and be a positive leader of change. Ideally you will want to work part-time over 3-5 days/week and establish a long-term career as a key player in our leadership team.
